Sheikh Dr. Soud Khalifa Al Thani
Climate Change & Carbon Management Director - Qatar FoundationSheikh Dr. Soud Khalifa Al Thani brings over 18 years of extensive expertise in sustainability, carbon management, and climate change within the built environment. An architect and academic by background, he earned his Ph.D. in Sustainable Development from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in 2019, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Master of Science in Sustainability from Oxford Brookes University in the UK.
In addition to his leadership at Qatar Foundation, Dr. Al Thani is also actively engaged in shaping dialogues surrounding sustainable finance, green investment frameworks, and economic strategies that reward sustainable performance to support the global green transition and long-term value creation.
