Mr. Yasser Salah Al-Jaidah, President & CEO of UDC With over 20 years of experience in various fields with his extensive expertise in strategic leadership and operational management, Mr. Yasser Al-Jaidah brings over a decade of experience in the energy industry, with expertise in Operation Engineering, Project Management, Marketing, and Venture Projects.


He completed a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri in the United States; he is also certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute (PMI), and he has an Executive MBA from HEC-Paris in Shanghai, China.


Before joining UDC, Mr. Al Jaidah served as the Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Cool for ten years, during which he spearheaded transformative changes that propelled the company forward. His leadership encompassed strategic development, oversight of legal compliance, policy and planning, governance, operations, financing, mission and vision, and community relations. He also transformed the organizational culture, positioning the company for exponential growth locally and internationally by modernizing strategies, creating expansion opportunities, and enhancing systems.

 

Before Qatar Cool, Mr. Al Jaidah served as a General Manager and Director of South Hook LNG in the United Kingdom, the largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Western Europe and the provider of 20% of the United Kingdom's LNG consumption.
He also played a pivotal role in establishing RasGas's first liaison office in Korea. Additionally, he served as Inlet Facilities Project Lead for RasGas's expansion phase two projects and was seconded to ExxonMobil in Houston, Texas, as a Project Execution Engineer.


Mr. Al Jaidah has been an active member of prominent industry organizations, including the TAMUQ Dean's Development Council, the International District Energy Association (IDEA), Euroheat and Power, the Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA), and the Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation for Energy & Sustainable Development.
Globally, Mr. Al Jaidah has successfully contributed to a range of projects across four continents, including countries such as Qatar, Korea, Japan, France, Norway, the USA, Italy, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.
