Mr. Moammar Awad

Moammar is a seasoned media professional with nearly 30 years of experience in economic journalism and broadcasting. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and Media at Damascus University in 1994.

He began his career as a news editor and later joined Qatar Radio in 2003. He also served as Managing Editor of Qatar Business and Trade Magazine for several years. Since 2005, he has been the Bureau Chief of CNBC Arabia in Qatar, where he became a well-known media figure through his weekly program, Eye on Qatar, which he has been producing and presenting since 2006.

In addition to his media role, he has served as a market analyst and observer for the Qatar Stock Exchange since 2006, offering in-depth insights into financial markets and economic developments in Qatar and the region.

Furthermore, Moammar has moderated and facilitated numerous panel discussions and working sessions at prominent economic and financial conferences in Qatar and abroad, known for his skill in engaging high-level decision-makers, experts, and stakeholders in meaningful dialogue.
