Jeffrey Asselstine

Canadian born, Jeffrey has over 18 years of international banking experience, and has now been running his own businesses since 2009. He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1990 with a BBA Degree, the same year that he was awarded the Balfour Province Award by the Sigma Chi Fraternity, given to the most outstanding undergraduate, and followed this up with his CFA in 1993.

During his banking career he worked in such varied locations as Toronto, Hong Kong, Oman, Dubai, London, Beirut, Moscow and Qatar.

Jeffrey has served on two philanthropic boards as well as the Association of European Business in Moscow and the Canadian Business Council Qatar, as well as a Board Member of the American School of Doha (ASD), and Chairman of the Business Development and Strategic Planning Committee..

After leaving banking in 2008, Jeffrey formed the NelsonPark Group, with its main operating company, NelsonPark Property focusing on real estate in Qatar. NelsonPark Property is now viewed as one of the leading brokerages in Qatar and has been awarded Best Real Estate Agency for 2024-2025.

NelsonPark Property now operates in both Qatar and in Dubai, with the opening of the newest office in Downtown Dubai in October 2023.

NelsonPark has expanded into valuation services with the establishment of NelsonPark Consulting in the Qatar Financial Centre in 2024. Lastly, he is the co-founder of Society International Real Estate a global real estate network with its head office in the USA, and also a partner in Society’s first physical office, Society Real Estate in Doha, Qatar.

Jeffrey was recently appointed to the Advisory Board of Pinnacle IPB Management Consultancy in the United Arab Emirates, a firm that provides high-end management consultancy specializing in global finance and strategic advisory for corporations, financial institutions and UNHW individuals. Its core services span capital raising, mergers & acquisitions and strategic planning.
